Definition
Confidence badges are the colored labels attached to every CalibrSports pick that communicate the source, conviction level, and AI advisor decision behind each bet. There are four badge types: POWER PICK (green), OPTIMIZED (amber), SCOUT PICK (blue), and LONGSHOT (yellow).
Example
POWER PICK (green) — ML model flags Over 2.5 with +11% edge. AI Advisor confirms after reviewing team news and recent form. Both systems agree: strong conviction, full Kelly stake.
SCOUT PICK (blue) — Model did not flag this match. AI Advisor identifies that two key defenders are suspended, sharply reducing the host's clean sheet probability. Advisor proposes BTTS Yes based on this catalyst with a conservative stake.
How CalibrSports Predicts This
Every published pick receives a badge based on the AI advisor's decision. POWER PICK indicates full model-advisor agreement. OPTIMIZED indicates an advisor adjustment to stake or line. SCOUT PICK indicates an advisor-only bet with a named catalyst. LONGSHOT indicates low conviction — parked rather than removed, in the interest of full transparency.

LONGSHOTs have been parked for a reason — mass injuries, poor market track record, or match disruption. We show them for transparency, not as endorsements. Most users skip LONGSHOTs entirely.
Are SCOUT PICKs less reliable than POWER PICKs?
Not necessarily. SCOUT PICKs are advisor-only and require a named catalyst, which adds genuine information. They are not model-backed, so the confidence is qualitative rather than quantitative. Track record for each badge type is visible on our performance page.
Can a POWER PICK become OPTIMIZED between publication and kick-off?
In rare cases where breaking news arrives after publication, the advisor can issue an update. We send Telegram notifications for any material stake or line changes.
